A List of Feelings (for reconnecting with yourself)

Feelings, ugh! Aren’t they complicated!? Here’s a list of some feelings that may be helpful. Here’s how I encourage clients to use this.

  • When you’re having big emotions, look at this list and try and identify which feelings are actually going on for you at that moment.
  • As part of a daily ritual (like journalling) write down three feelings that are happening right then, and try not to deny them. Instead, practice a moment of radical acceptance of yourself. For example, right now I feel exhausted, optimistic, and teary (and that’s OK).
